The DECC reviews the scheme’s expenditure on a quarterly basis based on the number of accredited installations which have taken place, and as a result has reduced the incentive by 10% for installations after 1 January 2015.

Although a degression, the news has been welcomed by the energy industry, including the team at Denby Dale Energy, as it had been anticipated that the reduction would actually be 20% for the commercial biomass tariff.
