The owners of these luxury barn conversion farm cottages in Sheffield, South Yorkshire wanted to become as carbon neutral as possible and approached Denby Dale Energy for their advice on the installation of a biomass boiler.

An additional consideration was the ever increasing cost of fuel for the existing oil fired boilers in the premises, which they were hoping to replace with a more sustainable and cheaper fuel source.

Denby Dale Energy completed an on-site visit to identify the size of biomass boiler required to heat the farmhouse and 5 additional holiday lets, and subsequently recommended the HDG Compact 200 Wood Chip Boiler and 6000 litre tank.

The advanced combustion technology of the Compact 200 is perfectly designed to burn wood chips as fuel, resulting in very low emission values and extremely high efficiency levels.
